Rob is awesome in many aspects.  First, his wedding images are incredible because he takes photographing weddings very seriously.  Photography is not a ho-hum job for Rob, it’s his passion.  When you watch Rob work you can tell that he has found his calling. 

Rob is a wedding photography chameleon.  He excels in creating impressive images in each wedding photography style.  He’s the perfect photographer for clients that want a wide variety work. Rob will go way beyond what’s expected to make sure he gets a great photograph.  He will come off of a wedding party bus with sweat on his brow, an intense look in his eye and a big smile.  Then he will say, “that was great. I got incredible images”.  For the next hour or so we will have many people pull us aside and tell us how great Rob was to work with. 

Rob is completely comfortable in each facet of wedding photography, from the quiet moments before the wedding, to the party bus and late night reception.   His personality is the perfect blend of easy going and intense worker.  Rob can take charge or step back into the background as needed.  His easygoing personality and versatility will make him a welcome addition to your wedding day.

We judge the quality of a wedding image by how much time you want to spend with an image.  If you don’t want to move ahead to the next image, we would call that a great photograph.  It takes us a very long time to look at Rob’s work.  His images bring you back to the times of the day that few people get to see or even know about, but everyone wishes that they were there to see for themselves.  Rob has photographed many weddings for us over the past two years.  We send our best photographers out the most often and Rob was out most every Saturday photographing a wedding.  He would come back with awe-inspiring images from each wedding.  He is master at incorporating the most interesting elements from the environment, peak emotion and interesting lighting in his images.   Technically and creatively Rob is a pro wedding photographer who will surpass your expectations.   

Rob grew up in upstate New York and, fortunately for us, now lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.   Rob has studied photography at Montana State University, GVSU, and Kendal College of Art and Design.  

Outside of wedding photography Rob is an avid cyclists and race car driver.  It’s fun to hear him talk about the g-force pulling qualities of a race car on the track. 

Craig
Pro Level Wedding Photographer

Like Rob, Craig is also a versatile wedding photographer.  We consider his greatest strengths to be his unique composition and contemporary style images.  Craig’s background is in graphic design and photography.  The two fields complement each other nicely.  If you appreciate good composition and unique ideas, then Craig is the perfect photographer for you.   Take a look at Craig’s gallery and see for yourself what we are talking about.  He has been photographing weddings with us since 2006 and we have been impressed with him from the beginning.

Craig is also very friendly and a joy to be around.  We often hear from clients how they loved working with him. He has a talent for making everyone, even uneasy and shy people feel comfortable. Craig is a very positive person with a huge smile.  His outgoing personality enables him to capture more relaxed, natural images. 

Craig, his wife and two kids grew up and continue to live in Grand Rapids.  When Craig is not working you may find him playing with his kids, fishing or toasting marshmallows at his cottage. 

Colin
Specialist Level Wedding Photographer 

Colin joined our team in the winter of 2009.  He came to us with impressive wedding experience and has proven to be an exceptional wedding photographer.  Colin’s portfolio shows that he is a talented photographer.

Colin is a quiet observer at weddings, while being professional and inconspicuous. He has a knack for capturing your killer images while your day unfolds.  He makes a great second photographer for your wedding coverage.

Don
Photographer Training Adviser & Wedding Photographer

It’s a gift that Don is willing to work with us.  He has been photographing weddings with us since 1994.  Don is a one of a kind, world-class level wedding photographer.  You can see his image gallery here. His specialty is photo journalistic wedding images.  He was going to retire from wedding photography, but, lucky for us… He is willing to join our team again this year.   

Don is the perfect photographer for the bride that wants the very best.  His wedding images are consistently captivating. Don’s specialty is finding three or more elements in an image that tell a story.  Looking at his images is like reading a book that you can’t put down.  There is so much going on with emotions, body language, composition, and use of light that you’ll find yourself starring at each image for a very long time.   His images are not random or luck, each element is skillfully planed and placed in his frame. It’s very difficult to accomplish a high level of wedding photography where the photographer controls each element in the image.  It’s the difference between randomly pushing the button on the camera and consistently creating images that you want to stare at over and over again.  It’s rare to find a truly original and artistic wedding photographer. The WOW! Moments of the day happen so quickly that most photographers don’t have time to plan, think and create. They are more reactive than creative.  It is a real talent and art to do what Don does at each wedding.

Don teaches photography at a college in Jamestown, New York. He also helps us create our extensive wedding photography training courses. In addition to wedding photography Don can be found running marathons or triathlons nationwide.  This winter he is going to Disney to run a half marathon one day and a full marathon the next day.  That’s just crazy.  You surly won’t have to worry about Don running out of energy at end of the night.

Personality wise, Don is very easy to get along with and fun to be around.  His philosophy on wedding photography is simple – be there to capture the key moments without getting in the way.  He feels that the best images are captured when the photographer is oblivious to the people being photographed. 

Don’s wedding photography rate is $8,000 for 7 hours.  Don's fee includes a second photographer and all of your edited images to keep and use as you like.
